Hadith 107
عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، وَقَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ : " يُؤْتَى بِالْعَبْدِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَأَنَّهُ بَذَجٌ، فَيُوقَفُ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ اللَّهِ، فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ : أَعْطَيْتُكَ وَخَوَّلْتُكَ وَأَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكَ فَمَا صَنَعْتَ ؟ فَيَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ، جَمَعْتُهُ وَثَمَّرْتُهُ وَتَرَكْتُهُ أَكْثَرَ مَا كَانَ، فَارْجِعْنِي آتِكَ بِهِ كُلِّهِ، فَيَقُولُ لَهُ : أَرِنِي مَا قَدَّمْتَ ؟ فَيَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ، جَمَعْتُهُ وَثَمَّرْتُهُ وَتَرَكْتُهُ أَكْثَرَ مَا كَانَ، فَارْجِعْنِي آتِكَ بِهِ كُلِّهِ، فَإِذَا كَانَ عَبْدٌ لَمْ يُقَدِّمْ خَيْرًا فَيَمْضِي بِهِ إِلَى النَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, a servant will be brought, as if he is a young goat, and he will be made to stand before Allah. Allah will say: I gave you, I bestowed upon you, and I showed you favor, so what did you do? He will say: O Lord! I gathered it, I increased it, and I left behind more than what I had (of wealth), so return me, I will bring all of it to You. Allah will say to him: Show Me what you sent ahead. He will say: I gathered it, I increased it, and I left behind more than what I had, so return me, I will bring all of it to You. Suddenly, that servant will not have sent ahead any good deed, so he will be driven towards the Fire."
