Hadith 92
عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ حُذَيْفَةَ، أَنَّ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنَ الْيَمَانِ، قَالَ : قَامَ سَائِلٌ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْأَلُ، فَأَمْسَكَ الْقَوْمُ، ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَجُلا أَعْطَاهُ فَأَعْطَى الْقَوْمُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنِ اسْتَنَّ خَيْرًا فَاسْتُنَّ بِهِ فَلَهُ أَجْرُهُ، وَمِثْلُ أُجُورِ مَنْ تَبِعَهُ مِنْ غَيْرِ مُنْتَقِصٍ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْئًا، وَمَنِ اسْتَنَّ شرًّا فَاسْتُنَّ بِهِ فَعَلَيْهِ وِزْرُهُ، وَمِثْلُ أَوْزَارِ مَنْ تَبِعَهُ غَيْرَ مُنْتَقِصٍ مِنْ أَوْزَارِهِمْ شَيْئًا " .
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin Yaman (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), a beggar stood up and began to ask (for help). The people remained silent. Then indeed, one man gave him something, so the people also gave him. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever initiates a good way, and then it is adopted, for him is its reward and the reward of those who follow it, without their rewards being diminished in the least. And whoever establishes an evil way and it is adopted, upon him is its burden and the burden of those who follow him, without their burdens being diminished in the least."
