Hadith 91
عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَنْ يَلِجَ أَحَدٌ بِعَمَلِهِ الْجَنَّةَ "، قَالُوا : وَلا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " وَلا أَنَا، إِلا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللَّهُ بِرَحْمَتِهِ، أَوْ تَسَعَنِي مِنْهُ عَافِيَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "No one will enter Paradise because of his deeds." They said: "Not even you, O Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him?" He said: "Not even I, unless Allah covers me with His mercy or His pardon encompasses me."
