Hadith 90
عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أَحَبَّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَعْلَمَ قَدْرَ نِعْمَةِ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ فَلْيَنْظُرْ إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ تَحْتَهُ، وَلا يَنْظُرْ إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ فَوْقَهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "If any one of you wishes to recognize the value of Allah's blessing upon him, then he should look at the one who is below him and not look at the one who is above him."
