Hadith 65
عَنِ الْحَسنِ بْنِ ذَكْوَانَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ : " مَنْ بَاتَ طَاهِرًا، بَاتَ فِي شِعَارِهِ مَلَكٌ، فَلا يَسْتَيْقِظُ سَاعَةً مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، إِلا قَالَ الْمَلَكُ : اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِعَبْدِكَ فُلانٍ ؛ فَإِنَّهُ بَاتَ طَاهِرًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever spends the night in a state of ablution, an angel spends the night in the garment that touches his body. Whenever he wakes up during the night, the angel says: O Allah! Forgive Your such-and-such servant, for indeed he spent the night in a state of ablution."
