Hadith 51
عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ مَوْلَى الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَاءَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ، وَالْبِشْرُ يُرَى فِي وَجْهِهِ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّهُ جَاءَنِي جِبْرِيلُ، فَقَالَ : أَمَا يُرْضِيكَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَنَّهُ لا يُصَلِّي عَلَيْكَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِكَ إِلا صَلَّيْتُ عَلَيْهِ عَشْرًا، أَوْ لا يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْكَ أَحَدٌ إِلا سَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ عَشْرًا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that indeed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came one day, and happiness was apparent on his face. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The matter is that Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to me and said: O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon you)! Are you not pleased that for whoever from your Ummah sends blessings upon you once, I will send ten mercies upon him, and whoever sends peace upon you once, I will send ten salutations upon him?”
