Hadith 48
عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ نَبْهَانَ مَوْلَى التَّوْءَمَةِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا جَلَسَ قَوْمٌ مَجْلِسًا لَمْ يَذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ فِيهِ، وَلَمْ يُصَلُّوا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلا كَانَ عَلَيْهِمْ تِرَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، إِنْ شَاءَ عَفَا عَنْهُمْ، وَإِنْ شَاءَ أَخَذَهُمْ بِهَا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whenever people sit in a gathering in which they neither remember Allah nor send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that (gathering) will surely be a cause of regret and remorse for them on the Day of Resurrection. If He wills, He may forgive them, and if He wills, He may punish them because of it."
