Hadith 38
عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الصَّلَوَاتُ كَفَّارَاتٌ لِلْخَطَايَا، الصَّلَوَاتُ كَفَّارَاتٌ لِلْخَطَايَا، فَاقْرَءُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ : إِنَّ الْحَسَنَاتِ يُذْهِبْنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ ذَلِكَ ذِكْرَى لِلذَّاكِرِينَ سورة هود آية 114 " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Prayers are an expiation for sins, prayers are an expiation for sins, and if you wish, recite: «إِنَّ الْحَسَنَاتِ يُذْهِبْنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ ذَلِكَ ذِكْرَى لِلذَّاكِرِينَ» (Hud: 114) 'Indeed, good deeds erase bad deeds. That is a reminder for those who remember.'"
