It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both), that the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) mentioned a man before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said that (no one) eats until he eats, and he does not depart until travel is made for him. So the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You have backbitten him." They said: "We only mentioned (the fault) that was in him." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you have mentioned that (fault) which is in your brother, then that is sufficient to make you (sinful)."
