Hadith 98

نا خَالِدٌ أَبُو الْعَلاءِ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَيْفَ أَنْعَمُ وَصَاحِبُ الْقَرْنِ قَدِ الْتَقَمَ الْقَرْنَ، وَاسْتَمَعَ الإِذْنَ مَتَى يُؤْمَرُ بِالنَّفْخِ فَيَنْفُخُ ؟ ! " فكَأَنَّ ذَلِكَ ثَقُلَ عَلَى أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ : قُولُوا : " حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ، عَلَى اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How can I remain happy and at ease, while the one with the horn (trumpet) has certainly taken the horn in his mouth and is attentively listening, waiting for the command to blow, so he will blow it." It seemed this was hard on the companions of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), so at that time he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to them: "Say: 'Allah is sufficient for us and He is the best disposer of affairs, upon Allah alone we have placed our trust.'"
