أنا مَالِكٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَنْفَقَ زَوْجَيْنِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، نُودِيَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ : يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ، هَذَا خَيْرٌ، فَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الصَّلاةِ، دُعِيَ مِنْ بَابِ الصَّلاةِ، وَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الصَّدَقَةِ، دُعِيَ مِنْ بَابِ الصَّدَقَةِ، وَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجِهَادِ، دُعِيَ مِنْ بَابِ الْجِهَادِ، وَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الصِّيَامِ، دُعِيَ مِنْ بَابِ الرَّيَّانِ "، فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، مَا عَلَى أَحَدٍ يُدْعَى مِنْ هَذِهِ الأَبْوَابِ مِنْ ضَرُورَةٍ، فَهَلْ أَحَدٌ يُدْعَى مِنَ الأَبْوَابِ كُلِّهَا ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ، وَأَرْجُو أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنْهُمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever spends two pairs (of something) in the way of Allah, he will be called from the gates of Paradise: O servant of Allah! This is better. If he is among those who pray, he will be called from the gate of prayer; if he is among those who give zakat, he will be called from the gate of zakat; if he is among those who strive (in jihad), he will be called from the gate of jihad; and if he is among those who fast, he will be called from the gate of Rayyan (the gate of abundant drink).” Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! May my parents be sacrificed for you, is there any need for someone to be called from all these gates (but) is there anyone who will be called from all these gates? He said: Yes, and I hope that you will be among them.
