Hadith 78

عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ : " مَنْ لَمْ يَدَعِ الزُّورَ وَالْعَمَلَ بِهِ وَالْجَهْلَ، فَلَيْسَ لِلَّهِ حَاجَةٌ بِأَنْ يَدَعَ طَعَامَهُ وَشَرَابَهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), who reports from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "Whoever does not give up lying and acting upon it, and ignorance, then Allah has no need for him to give up his food and drink."
