عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَحْرٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، قَالَ : نَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَهْرًا، فَبَقِيتُ فِي عَمَلِهِ كُلِّهِ فَرَأَيْتُهُ إِذَا زَالَتِ الشَّمْسُ، أَوْ زَاغَتْ، أَوْ كَمَا قَالَ، إِنْ كَانَ فِي يَدِهِ عَمَلُ الدُّنْيَا رَفَضَهُ، وَإِنْ كَانَ نَائِمًا، فَكَأَنَّمَا نُوقِظُ لَهُ فَيَقُومُ فَيَغْتَسِلُ، أَوْ يَتَوَضَّأُ، ثُمَّ يَرْكَعُ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ يُتِمُّهُنَّ وَيُحْسِنُهُنَّ وَيَتَمَكَّنُ فِيهِنَّ، فَلَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنْطَلِقَ، قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، مَكَثْتَ عِنْدِي شَهْرًا وَلَوَدِدْتُ أَنَّكَ مُلِئْتَ الْخَيْرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ، فَبَقِيتَ فِي عَمَلِكَ كُلِّهِ، فَرَأَيْتُكَ إِذَا زَالَتِ الشَّمْسُ أَوْ زَاغَتْ فَإِنْ كَانَ فِي يَدِكَ عَمَلٌ رَفَضْتَهُ، فَإِنْ كُنْتَ نَائِمًا تُوقَظُ فَتَغْتَسِلُ أَوْ تَتَوَضَّأُ، ثُمَّ تَرْكَعُ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ تُتِمُّهُنَّ وَتُحْسِنُهُنَّ وَتَتَمَكَّنُ فِيهِنَّ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ أَبْوَابَ السَّمَاءِ وَأَبْوَابَ الْجَنَّةِ يُفتَحْنَ فِي تِلْكَ السَّاعَةِ، فَلا يُوَافِي أَحَدٌ بِهَذِهِ الصَّلاةِ، فَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ يَصْعَدَ مِنِّي إِلَى رَبِّي فِي تِلْكَ السَّاعَةِ خَيْرٌ "، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : وَزَادَنِي الأَوْزَاعِيُّ، قَالَ : فَأُحِبُّ أَنْ يُرْفَعَ عَمَلِي فِي أَوَّلِ عَمَلِ الْعَابِدِينَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ayub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), he said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed (with them) for a month. I remained for all the tasks of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I saw that when the sun would decline or incline, or as I have said, if the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was engaged in any worldly matter, he would leave it, and if he was asleep, it was as if we would wake him up for it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would stand, perform ghusl or ablution, then he would pray four rak‘ahs, complete them, beautify them, and perform them with great calmness and composure. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to leave (our house), I said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! You stayed with me for a month, and indeed I have come to know that surely you are filled with goodness and virtue from this. I remained with you to know all your actions (to closely observe the prescribed acts), I saw that when the sun would decline or incline, if there was any task in your hand, you would leave it, if you were asleep, you would be awakened, you would perform ghusl or ablution, then pray four rak‘ahs, you would complete them, beautify them, and perform them with great calmness and composure. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Indeed, the gates of the heavens and the gates of Paradise are opened at that hour for it. Whoever performs this prayer, then I have preferred that at that hour, goodness and virtue ascend for me to my Lord.”
