Muslim bin Mukhrāq said: I said to Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "O Mother of the Believers! Indeed, there are some people among whom one of them recites the entire Qur'an two or three times in one night." She replied, "They have recited, but they have not recited. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would stand in prayer for the entire night; he would recite Surah Al-Baqarah, Surah Aal-e-Imran, and Surah An-Nisa. Then, whenever he passed by a verse of glad tidings, he would certainly supplicate and show eagerness, and whenever he passed by a verse of warning, he would certainly supplicate to Allah Almighty and seek refuge."
