عَنِ ابْنِ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي بَكْرُ بْنُ سَوَادَةَ أَنَّ رَجُلا حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ : " مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَأَحْسَنَ وُضُوءَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى صَلاةً غَيْرَ سَاهٍ وَلا لاهٍ، كَفَّرَ عَنْهُ مَا كَانَ قَبْلَهَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ " .
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir al-Juhani رضي الله عنه narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم say: “Whoever performs ablution and performs it well, then offers a prayer in which he neither forgets nor plays, then whatever (mistake) he committed before it, it will erase it.”
