Hadith 35

عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مِائَةَ رَحْمَةٍ، أَنْزَلَ مِنْهَا رَحْمَةً وَاحِدَةً بَيْنَ الْجِنِّ، وَالإِنْسِ، وَالْبَهَائِمِ، وَالْهَوَامِّ، فَبِهَا يَتَعَاطَفُونَ وبِهَا يَتَرَاحَمُونَ، وبِهَا تَعْطِفُ الْوُحُوشُ عَلَى أَوْلادِهَا، وَأَخَّرَ تِسْعَةً وَتِسْعِينَ رَحْمَةً يَرْحَمُ بِهَا عِبَادَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah has one hundred mercies. Out of them, He has sent down one mercy among the jinn, humans, cattle, and insects, so that they show compassion and kindness to one another, and because of it, wild animals show affection to their young. And the remaining ninety-nine mercies, He will show mercy to His servants with them on the Day of Resurrection."
