Hadith 278

أنا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي صَعْصَعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ : " يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَكُونَ خَيْرَ مَالِ الْمُسْلِمِ غَنَمٌ يَتْبَعُ بِهَا شَعَفَ الْجِبَالِ، وَمَوَاقِعَ الْقَطْرِ، يَفِرُّ بِدِينِهِ مِنَ الْفِتَنِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), who reports from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "The time is near when the best wealth of a Muslim will be sheep, which he will follow to the tops of mountains and places where rain falls, fleeing with his religion from tribulations."
