Hadith 249

Sahl bin Abi Umamah bin Sahl bin Hunaif said that my father said to Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): O uncle! Surely the people are no longer those people among whom you used to spend your time; now they are merely wolves in clothing, so beware of them. He replied: Listen, by Allah! Indeed, if you have said this, then certainly, in a short while, I have been put in doubt by them to the extent that I narrate a hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and they say: Did you hear it with your own ears?
