Hadith 247

عَنْ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ونا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ عِتْبَانَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، حديثهُ فِي ابْنِ الدُّخَيْشَمِ، قَالَ أَنَسٌ : " فَقَدِمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ، فَلَقِيتُ عِتْبَانَ فحَدَّثَنِي، قَالَ أَنَسٌ : فَأَعْجَبَنِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ، فَقُلْتُ لابْنِي : اكْتُبْهُ فَكَتَبَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Mahmood bin Rabee’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from ‘Itbaan bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that he related to him a hadith about Ibn Dukhayshum (may Allah be pleased with him). Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I came to Madinah and met ‘Itbaan (may Allah be pleased with him), and he narrated that hadith to me. Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I liked that hadith very much, so I told my son to write it down, and he wrote it.
