عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْلَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي الْغَرِيفُ بْنُ عَيَّاشِ بْنِ فَيْرُوزَ الدَّيْلَمِيُّ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الأَسْقَعِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ صَاحِبٌ : حَدِّثْنَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ، خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَزْوَةَ تَبُوكَ، فَأَتَاهُ نَفَرٌ مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ، فَقَالَ لَهُ صَاحِبٌ لَنَا : قَدْ أَوْجَبَ، قَالَ : " فَلْيُعْتِقُونَ فِيهِ مِثْلَهُ يَفُكُّ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ عُضوٍ مِنْهُ عُضْوًا مِنَ النَّارِ " .
Ghuraif bin Iyash bin Farqad Dailami said that I came to Wasila bin Asqa’ (may Allah be pleased with him), so (Kilaab) said to him, “Narrate to us a hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).” He said, “Yes, we went out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) for the expedition of Tabuk. A group from Banu Sulaym came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so one of our companions said to him, ‘Indeed, he has made it obligatory.’ So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘He should free a neck like it in this. For every limb of his, Allah will free a (corresponding) limb of his from the Fire.’”
