Hadith 135

عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ أَبِي شُجَاعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي السَّمْحِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ : " وَهُمْ فِيهَا كَالِحُونَ سورة المؤمنون آية 104، قَالَ : تَشْوِيهِ النَّارُ، فَتَقَلَّصُ شَفَتُهُ الْعُلْيَا حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ وَسَطَ رَأْسِهِ، وَتَسْتَرْخِي شَفَتُهُ السُّفْلَى حَتَّى تَضْرِبَ سُرَّتَهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), who reports from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: “﴿وَهُمْ فِيهَا كَالِحُونَ﴾ (Al-Mu’minun: 104) ‘And they will be grimacing therein.’ He said: The fire will burn him, so his upper lip will shrink until it reaches the middle of his head, and his lower lip will hang down until it reaches his navel.”
