The Book of Drinks
باب كَرَاهَةِ التَّنَفُّسِ فِي نَفْسِ الإِنَاءِ وَاسْتِحْبَابِ التَّنَفُّسِ ثَلاَثًا خَارِجَ الإِنَاءِ:
Chapter: It is disliked to breathe into the vessel, and it is recommended to take three breaths, outside the vessel

Hadith 267
Abu Qatadah (RA) reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) forbade breathing in a vessel.
Hadith 2028
Anas reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to breathe three times in the course of a drink (i. e. he drank in three gulps).

Anas reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) breathed three times (outside the vessel) in the course of a drink and said: It is more thirst-quenching, healthier and more wholesome. Anas said: So I also breathe three times in the course of a drink.
