باب كَرَاهَةِ انْتِبَاذِ التَّمْرِ وَالزَّبِيبِ مَخْلُوطَيْنِ:
Chapter: It is disliked to make Nabidh by mixing dried dates and raisins
Hadith 1986
حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ ، سَمِعْتُ عَطَاءَ بْنَ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى أَنْ يُخْلَطَ الزَّبِيبُ وَالتَّمْرُ وَالْبُسْرُ وَالتَّمْرُ " .
Messenger (may peace upon him) prohibited the mixing of grapes and fresh dates, and dry dates and Jabir bin 'Abdullah al-Ansari reported that Allah's fresh dates.
Hadith 1986
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ " نَهَى أَنْ يُنْبَذَ التَّمْرُ وَالزَّبِيبُ جَمِيعًا ، وَنَهَى أَنْ يُنْبَذَ الرُّطَبُ وَالْبُسْرُ جَمِيعًا " .
Jabir bin 'Abdullah al-Ansari reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) prohibited the (preparation of) Nabidh by mixing together fresh dates and grapes, and he prohibited the preparation of Nabidh by mixing the fresh dates and unripe dates together.
Hadith 1986
وحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ح وحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لِابْنِ رَافِعٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي عَطَاءٌ : سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَجْمَعُوا بَيْنَ الرُّطَبِ وَالْبُسْرِ وَبَيْنَ الزَّبِيبِ وَالتَّمْرِ نَبِيذًا " .
Jabir bin'Abdullah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Do not mix fresh dates and dry dates, and grapes and fresh dates for preparing Nabidh.
Hadith 1986
وحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ الْمَكِّيِّ مَوْلَى حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ " نَهَى أَنْ يُنْبَذَ الزَّبِيبُ وَالتَّمْرُ جَمِيعًا ، وَنَهَى أَنْ يُنْبَذَ الْبُسْرُ وَالرُّطَبُ جَمِيعًا " .
Jabir bin'Abdullah (RA) al-Ansari reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) Prohibited the preparation of Nabidh by mixing grapes and fresh dates, and he forbade the preparation of Nabidh by mixing unripe dates with fresh dates.
Hadith 1987
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَي بْنُ يَحْيَي ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، عَنْ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنِ التَّمْرِ وَالزَّبِيبِ أَنْ يُخْلَطَ بَيْنَهُمَا ، وَعَنِ التَّمْرِ وَالْبُسْرِ أَنْ يُخْلَطَ بَيْنَهُمَا " .
Abu Sa'id reported that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) prohibited that fresh dates and grapes be mixed together and that fresh dates and unripe dates be mixed together.
Hadith 1987
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَي بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ أَبُو مَسْلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : " نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَخْلِطَ بَيْنَ الزَّبِيبِ وَالتَّمْرِ وَأَنْ نَخْلِطَ الْبُسْرَ وَالتَّمْرَ " .
Abu Sa'id reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) prohibited us to mix grapes and dry dates together and unripe dates and dry dates (to prepare Nabidh.
Hadith 1987
وحَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُفَضَّلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْلَمَةَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهُ .
This hadith is narrated on the authority of Abi Maslama with the same chain of transmitters.
Hadith 1987
وحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ النَّاجِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ شَرِبَ النَّبِيذَ مِنْكُمْ فَلْيَشْرَبْهُ زَبِيبًا فَرْدًا أَوْ تَمْرًا فَرْدًا أَوْ بُسْرًا فَرْدًا " .
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who amongst you drinks Nabidh should drink that (prepared either from) grapes alone, or from dates alone, or from unripe dates alone (and not by mixing them with one another).
Hadith 1987
وحَدَّثَنِيهِ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ ، بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ ، قَالَ : " نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَخْلِطَ بُسْرًا بِتَمْرٍ أَوْ زَبِيبًا بِتَمْرٍ أَوْ زَبِيبًا بِبُسْرٍ " ، وَقَالَ مَنْ شَرِبَهُ مِنْكُمْ فَذَكَرَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ وَكِيعٍ .
Isma'il bin Muslim al-'Abadi reported on the authority of the same chain of transmitters: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) prohibited us that we should mix dry dates with unripe dates or (mix) grapes with dry dates (and prepare Nabidh). He also said: He who amongst you drinks-the rest of the hadith is the same.
Hadith 1988
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَي بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتَوَائِيُّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَي بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَنْتَبِذُوا الزَّهْوَ وَالرُّطَبَ جَمِيعًا وَلَا تَنْتَبِذُوا الزَّبِيبَ وَالتَّمْرَ جَمِيعًا ، وَانْتَبِذُوا كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا عَلَى حِدَتِهِ " .
Abu Qatadah (RA), on the authority of his father, reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) having said this: Do not prepare Nabidh by mixing nearly ripe dates and fresh dates together, and do not prepare Nabidh by mixing grapes and dates together, but prepare Nabidh from each (one of them) separately.
Hadith 1988
وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ ، عَنْ حَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَي بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهُ .
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Yahya bin Abu Kathir with the same chain of transmitters.
Hadith 1988
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيٌّ وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ يَحْيَي ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أِبِي قَتَادَةَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَا تَنْتَبِذُوا الزَّهْوَ وَالرُّطَبَ جَمِيعًا ، وَلَا تَنْتَبِذُوا الرُّطَبَ وَالزَّبِيبَ جَمِيعًا ، وَلَكِنْ انْتَبِذُوا كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ عَلَى حِدَتِهِ " ، وَزَعَمَ يَحْيَي أَنَّهُ لَقِيَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، فَحَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِ هَذَا .
Abu Qatadah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Do not prepare Nabidh by mixing nearly ripe and fresh dates and do not prepare Nabidh by mixing together fresh dates and grapes, but prepare Nabidh out of each (one of them) separately. Yahya stated that he had met 'Abdullah bin Abu Qatadah (RA) and he narrated it on the authority of his father that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) said this.
Hadith 1988
وحَدَّثَنِيهِ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَي بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ بِهَذَيْنِ الْإِسْنَادَيْنِ ، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ ، قَالَ : الرُّطَبَ وَالزَّهْوَ وَالتَّمْرَ وَالزَّبِيبَ .
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Yahya bin Abu Kathir through these two chains of transmitters but with a slight variation of words.
Hadith 1988
وحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ الْعَطَّارُ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَي بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ : أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنْ خَلِيطِ التَّمْرِ وَالْبُسْرِ ، وَعَنْ خَلِيطِ الزَّبِيبِ وَالتَّمْرِ ، وَعَنْ خَلِيطِ الزَّهْوِ وَالرُّطَبِ ، وَقَالَ : انْتَبِذُوا كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ عَلَى حِدَتِهِ " .
'Abdullah bin Abu Qatadah (RA), on the authority of his father, reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) forbidding the preparation of the mixture of ripe dates and unripe dates, and the mixture of grapes and dates, and that of nearly ripe dates and fresh dates but the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Prepare the Nabidh from each one of them separately.
Hadith 1988
وحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ .
This hadith is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatadah (RA) through another chain of transmitters.
Hadith 1988
حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، وَاللَّفْظُ لِزُهَيْرٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ الْحَنَفِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الزَّبِيبِ وَالتَّمْرِ وَالْبُسْرِ وَالتَّمْرِ ، وَقَالَ : يُنْبَذُ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا عَلَى حِدَتِهِ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbade (the preparation of Nabidh) from grapes and dates, and unripe dates and dry dates (by mixing them together). He (the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) also) said: Prepare Nabidh from each one of them separately.
Hadith 1989
وحَدَّثَنِيهِ زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أُذَيْنَةَ وَهُوَ أَبُو كَثِيرٍ الْغُبَرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ .
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (RA) through another chain of transmitters.
Hadith 1990
وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ ، عَنْ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنْ حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُخْلَطَ التَّمْرُ وَالزَّبِيبُ جَمِيعًا وَأَنْ يُخْلَطَ الْبُسْرُ وَالتَّمْرُ جَمِيعًا وَكَتَبَ إِلَى أَهْلِ جُرَشَ يَنْهَاهُمْ عَنْ خَلِيطِ التَّمْرِ وَالزَّبِيبِ " .
Ibn 'Abbas reported that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) forbade the mixing of dates and grapes together, and mixing of unripe dates and ripe dates together (for preparing Nabidh), and he wrote to the people of Jurash (in Yemen) forbidding them to prepare the mixture of dates and grapes.
Hadith 1990
وحَدَّثَنِيهِ وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ يَعْنِي الطَّحَّانَ ، عَنْ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ فِي التَّمْرِ وَالزَّبِيبِ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ الْبُسْرَ وَالتَّمْرَ .
This hadith has been narrated through another chain of transmitters with a slight variation of words.
Hadith 1991
حَدَّثَنِي حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ : " قَدْ نُهِيَ أَنْ يُنْبَذَ الْبُسْرُ وَالرُّطَبُ جَمِيعًا وَالتَّمْرُ وَالزَّبِيبُ جَمِيعًا " .
Ibn 'Umar (RA) reported that he was forbidden to prepare Nabidh by mixing unripe dates and fresh dates, and dates with grapes.
Hadith 1991
وحَدَّثَنِي وحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " قَدْ نُهِيَ أَنْ يُنْبَذَ الْبُسْرُ وَالرُّطَبُ جَمِيعًا وَالتَّمْرُ وَالزَّبِيبُ جَمِيعًا " .
Ibn 'Umar reported that they were forbidden to prepare Nabidh by mixing dry dates and fresh dates and dates and grapes together.
