The Book of Marriage
باب اسْتِحْبَابِ النِّكَاحِ لِمَنْ تَاقَتْ نَفْسُهُ إِلَيْهِ وَوَجَدَ مُؤْنَةً وَاشْتِغَالِ مَنْ عَجَزَ عَنِ الْمُؤَنِ بِالصَّوْمِ:
Chapter: Marriage is recommended for the one who desires it and can afford it, and the one who cannot afford it should distract himself by fasting
2باب نَدْبِ مَنْ رَأَى امْرَأَةً فَوَقَعَتْ فِي نَفْسِهِ إِلَى أَنْ يَأْتِيَ امْرَأَتَهُ أَوْ جَارِيَتَهُ فَيُوَاقِعَهَا:
Chapter: Recommendation to the one who sees a woman and is attracted to her, to go to his wife or slave woman and have intercourse with her
3باب نِكَاحِ الْمُتْعَةِ وَبَيَانِ أَنَّهُ أُبِيحَ ثُمَّ نُسِخَ ثُمَّ أُبِيحَ ثُمَّ نُسِخَ وَاسْتَقَرَّ تَحْرِيمُهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ:
Chapter: Mut'ah Marriage: It was permitted then abrograted, then permitted then abrogated, and it will remain Forbidden until the day of resurrection
4باب تَحْرِيمِ الْجَمْعِ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا أَوْ خَالَتِهَا فِي النِّكَاحِ:
Chapter: The prohibition of being married to a woman and her paternal aunt or maternal aunt at the same time
5باب تَحْرِيمِ نِكَاحِ الْمُحْرِمِ وَكَرَاهَةِ خِطْبَتِهِ:
Chapter: The prohibition of marriage for one who is in Ihram, and it is disliked for him to propose marriage
6باب تَحْرِيمِ الْخِطْبَةِ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ حَتَّى يَأْذَنَ أَوْ يَتْرُكَ:
Chapter: The prohibition of proposing marriage when one's brother has already proposed, unless he gives permission or gives up the idea
7باب تَحْرِيمِ نِكَاحِ الشِّغَارِ وَبُطْلاَنِهِ:
Chapter: Prohibition and invalidity of Shighar Marriage
8باب الْوَفَاءِ بِالشُّرُوطِ فِي النِّكَاحِ:
Chapter: Fulfilling the conditions stipulated in the Marriage
9باب اسْتِئْذَانِ الثَّيِّبِ فِي النِّكَاحِ بِالنُّطْقِ وَالْبِكْرِ بِالسُّكُوتِ:
Chapter: Seeking permission of a previously-married woman in words, and of a virgin by silence
10باب تَزْوِيجِ الأَبِ الْبِكْرَ الصَّغِيرَةَ:
Chapter: It is permissible for a father to arrange the marriage of a young virgin
11باب اسْتِحْبَابِ التَّزَوُّجِ وَالتَّزْوِيجِ فِي شَوَّالٍ وَاسْتِحْبَابِ الدُّخُولِ فِيهِ:
Chapter: It is recommended to get married and arrange marriages in Shawwal, and it is recommended to consummate the marriage in that month
12باب نَدْبِ النَّظَرِ إِلَى وَجْهِ الْمَرْأَةِ وَكَفَّيْهَا لِمَنْ يُرِيدُ تَزَوُّجَهَا:
Chapter: It is recommended for the one who wants to marry a woman to look at her face and hands before proposing marriage to her
13باب الصَّدَاقِ وَجَوَازِ كَوْنِهِ تَعْلِيمَ قُرْآنٍ وَخَاتَمَ حَدِيدٍ وَغَيْرَ ذَلِكَ مِنْ قَلِيلٍ وَكَثِيرٍ وَاسْتِحْبَابِ كَوْنِهِ خَمْسَمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ لِمَنْ لاَ يُجْحَفُ بِهِ:
Chapter: The Dowry. It is permissible for the dowry to be teaching Quran, a ring of iron or anything else, a small or large amount, And it is recommended for it to be Five Hundred Dirham
14باب فَضِيلَةِ إِعْتَاقِهِ أَمَتَهُ ثُمَّ يَتَزَوَّجُهَا:
Chapter: The virute of manumitting one's slave girl, then marrying her
15باب زَوَاجِ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ وَنُزُولِ الْحِجَابِ وَإِثْبَاتِ وَلِيمَةِ الْعُرْسِ:
Chapter: The Marriage of Zainab Bint Jahsh, The Revelation of (the verse of) Hijab, and confirmation of the importance of the wedding feast.
16باب الأَمْرِ بِإِجَابَةِ الدَّاعِي إِلَى دَعْوَةٍ:
Chapter: The command to accept invitations
17باب لاَ تَحِلُّ الْمُطَلَّقَةُ ثَلاَثًا لِمُطَلِّقِهَا حَتَّى تَنْكِحَ زَوْجًا غَيْرَهُ وَيَطَأَهَا ثُمَّ يُفَارِقَهَا وَتَنْقَضِي عِدَّتُهَا:
Chapter: It is not permissible for a woman who has been thrice-divorced to return to the one who divorced her until she marries another husband who has intercourse with her, then divorces her, and she completes the 'Iddah
18باب مَا يُسْتَحَبُّ أَنْ يَقُولَهُ عِنْدَ الْجِمَاعِ:
Chapter: What it is recommended to say when having intercourse
19باب جَوَازِ جِمَاعِهِ امْرَأَتَهُ فِي قُبُلِهَا مِنْ قُدَّامِهَا وَمِنْ وَرَائِهَا مِنْ غَيْرِ تَعَرُّضٍ لِلدُّبُرِ:
Chapter: It is permissible for a man to have intercourse with his wife from the front or from the back, without entering the behind
20باب تَحْرِيمِ امْتِنَاعِهَا مِنْ فِرَاشِ زَوْجِهَا:
Chapter: It is unlawful for the wife to refuse to come to her husband's bed
21باب تَحْرِيمِ إِفْشَاءِ سِرِّ الْمَرْأَةِ:
Chapter: The prohibition of disclosing a woman's secrets
22باب حُكْمِ الْعَزْلِ:
Chapter: The ruling on coitus interrupts ('Azl)
23باب تَحْرِيمِ وَطْءِ الْحَامِلِ الْمَسْبِيَّةِ:
Chapter: The prohibition of intercourse with a pregnant captive woman
24باب جَوَازِ الْغِيلَةِ وَهِيَ وَطْءُ الْمُرْضِعِ وَكَرَاهَةِ الْعَزْلِ:
Chapter: It is permissible to have intercourse with a breastfeeding woman (Ghilah), and 'Azl is disliked
