باب جَوَازِ الْجَمْعِ بَيْنَ الصَّلاَتَيْنِ فِي السَّفَرِ:
Chapter: It is permissible to combine two prayers when traveling
Hadith 703
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " إِذَا عَجِلَ بِهِ السَّيْرُ ، جَمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ " .
Ibn 'Umar reported: When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was in a state of hurry on a journey, he combined the sunset and 'Isha' prayers.
Hadith 703
وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، كَانَ إِذَا جَدَّ بِهِ السَّيْرُ ، جَمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ ، بَعْدَ أَنْ يَغِيبَ الشَّفَقُ ، وَيَقُولُ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " كَانَ إِذَا جَدَّ بِهِ السَّيْرُ ، جَمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ " .
Nafi' reported that when Ibn 'Umar was in a state of hurry on a journey, he combined the sunset and 'Isha' prayers after the twilight had disappeared, and he would say that when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was in a state of hurry on a journey, he combined the sunset and 'Isha' prayers.
Hadith 703
وحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ كلهم ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ ، قَالَ عَمْرٌو ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ ، إِذَا جَدَّ بِهِ السَّيْرُ " .
Salim reported from his father to be saying: I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) combining the sunset and Isha' prayers when he was in a hurry on a journey.
Hadith 703
وحَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنَ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " إِذَا أَعْجَلَهُ السَّيْرُ فِي السَّفَرِ ، يُؤَخِّرُ صَلَاةَ الْمَغْرِبِ ، حَتَّى يَجْمَعَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ " .
Salim bin 'Abdullah reported that his father had said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) delaying the sunset prayer till he would combine it with the 'Isha' when he hastened to set out on a journey.
Hadith 704
وحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُفَضَّلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ فَضَالَةَ ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " إِذَا ارْتَحَلَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَزِيغَ الشَّمْسُ ، أَخَّرَ الظُّهْرَ إِلَى وَقْتِ الْعَصْرِ ، ثُمَّ نَزَلَ فَجَمَعَ بَيْنَهُمَا ، فَإِنْ زَاغَتِ الشَّمْسُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَرْتَحِلَ ، صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ ، ثُمَّ رَكِبَ " .
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported: When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) set out on a journey before the sun declined (from the meridian), he delayed the noon prayer till the afternoon prayer, and then dismounted (his ride) and combined them (noon and afternoon prayers), but if the sun had declined before his setting out on a journey, he observed the noon prayer and then mounted (the ride).
Hadith 704
وحَدَّثَنِي عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ الْمَدَايِنِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ عُقَيْلِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ فِي السَّفَرِ ، أَخَّرَ الظُّهْرَ حَتَّى يَدْخُلَ أَوَّلُ وَقْتِ الْعَصْرِ ، ثُمَّ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَهُمَا " .
Anas reported: When the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) intended to combine two prayers on a journey, he delayed the noon prayer till came the early time of the afternoon prayer, and then combined the two.
Hadith 704
وحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ ، وَعَمْرُو بْنُ سَوَّادٍ ، قَالَا : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي جَابِرُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " إِذَا عَجِلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّفَرُ ، يُؤَخِّرُ الظُّهْرَ إِلَى أَوَّلِ وَقْتِ الْعَصْرِ ، فَيَجْمَعُ بَيْنَهُمَا ، وَيُؤَخِّرُ الْمَغْرِبَ حَتَّى يَجْمَعَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ الْعِشَاءِ ، حِينَ يَغِيبُ الشَّفَقُ " .
Anas reported that when the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) had to set out on a journey hurriedly, he delayed the noon prayer to the earlier time for the afternoon prayer, and then he would combine them, and he would delay the sunset prayer to the time when the twilight would disappear and then combine it with the 'Isha' prayer.
