باب اسْتِحْبَابِ إِتْيَانِ الصَّلاَةِ بِوَقَارٍ وَسَكِينَةٍ وَالنَّهْيِ عَنْ إِتْيَانِهَا سَعْيًا:
Chapter: It is recommended to come to prayers in a tranquil and dignified manner, and it is forbidden to come in a hasty manner
Hadith 602
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . ح ، قَالَ : وحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُيَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، وَأَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . ح ، قَالَ : وحَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " إِذَا أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ ، فَلَا تَأْتُوهَا تَسْعَوْنَ ، وَأْتُوهَا تَمْشُونَ وَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّكِينَةُ ، فَمَا أَدْرَكْتُمْ فَصَلُّوا ، وَمَا فَاتَكُمْ فَأَتِمُّوا " .
Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah, Zuhayr ibn Harb, and Amr al-Naqid narrated to us, they said: Sufyan ibn Uyaynah narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Sa'id, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
And Muhammad ibn Ja'far ibn Ziyad narrated to me, Ibrahim (meaning ibn Sa'd) informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Sa'id and Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
And Harmalah ibn Yahya narrated to me—and the wording is his—he said: Ibn Wahb informed us, Yunus informed me, from Ibn Shihab, he said: Abu Salamah ibn Abd al-Rahman informed me, that Abu Hurayrah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "When the prayer is established, do not come to it running, but come to it walking and with tranquility. Whatever you catch, pray, and whatever you miss, complete it."

Hadith 602
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، وَابْنُ حُجْرٍ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ ابْنُ أَيُّوبَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل ، أَخْبَرَنِي العَلَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا ثُوِّبَ لِلصَّلَاةِ ، فَلَا تَأْتُوهَا وَأَنْتُمْ تَسْعَوْنَ ، وَأْتُوهَا وَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّكِينَةُ ، فَمَا أَدْرَكْتُمْ فَصَلُّوا ، وَمَا فَاتَكُمْ فَأَتِمُّوا ، فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ ، إِذَا كَانَ يَعْمِدُ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ ، فَهُوَ فِي صَلَاةٍ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: When the words of Iqama are pronounced, do not come to (prayer) running, but go with tranquility, and pray what you are in time for, and complete (what you have missed) for when one of you is preparing for prayer he is in fact engaged in prayer.
Hadith 602
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ ، قَالَ : هَذَا مَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَذَكَرَ أَحَادِيثَ مِنْهَا ، وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا نُودِيَ بِالصَّلَاةِ ، فَأْتُوهَا وَأَنْتُمْ تَمْشُونَ ، وَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّكِينَةُ ، فَمَا أَدْرَكْتُمْ فَصَلُّوا ، وَمَا فَاتَكُمْ فَأَتِمُّوا " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported ahadith from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) , and one of them is that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) (may peace be upon), said: When the call is made for prayer come to it walking with tranquility, and pray what you are in time for, and complete what you have missed.
Hadith 602
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْفُضَيْلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عِيَاضٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ . ح . قَالَ : وحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا ثُوِّبَ بِالصَّلَاةِ ، فَلَا يَسْعَ إِلَيْهَا أَحَدُكُمْ ، وَلَكِنْ ، لِيَمْشِ وَعَلَيْهِ السَّكِينَةُ ، وَالْوَقَارُ ، صَلِّ مَا أَدْرَكْتَ ، وَاقْضِ مَا سَبَقَكَ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: When the words of Iqama are pronounced, none of you should run to it (to join the prayer) but walk with tranquility and dignity, and pray what you are in time for and complete what has gone before (what the Imam has completed).
Hadith 603
حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصُّورِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَسَمِعَ جَلَبَةً ، فَقَالَ : " مَا شَأْنُكُمْ " ؟ قَالُوا : اسْتَعْجَلْنَا إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ ، قَالَ : فَلَا تَفْعَلُوا ، " إِذَا أَتَيْتُمُ الصَّلَاةَ ، فَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّكِينَةُ ، فَمَا أَدْرَكْتُمْ فَصَلُّوا ، وَمَا سَبَقَكُمْ فَأَتِمُّوا " .
'Abdullah bin Abu Qatadah (RA) reported on the authority of his father: While we said our prayer with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) he heard tumult. (At the end of the prayer) he (the Holy Prophet) said: What is the matter with you? They said: We hastened to prayer. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Don't do that; when you come for prayer, there should be tranquility upon you. Pray (along with the Imam) what you can find and complete what preceded you.
Hadith 603
وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ .
This hadith has been narrated by Shaiban with the same chain of transmitters
