باب الْمَيِّتُ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ:
Chapter: The deceased is tormented because of his family's crying for him
Hadith 930

وحَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، أَنَّ سَالِمًا حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ الْحَيِّ " .
'Abdullah bin 'Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The dead is punished because of the lamentation of the living.
