Hadith 880

حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الصُّبْحِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ بِ الم تَنْزِيلُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى ، وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ هَلْ أَتَى عَلَى الْإِنْسَانِ حِينٌ مِنَ الدَّهْرِ لَمْ يَكُنْ شَيْئًا مَذْكُورًا " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite in the dawn prayer on Friday:" Alif-Lam-Mim, Tanzil" in the first rak'ah, and in the second one:" Surely there came over the man a time when he was nothing that could be mentioned."
