Hadith Commentary:
Benefits and Issues:
The obligatory prayer (fard salah) is associated with the mosque, while the voluntary prayers (nafl), supererogatory prayers (nawafil), and Sunnah prayers (sunan) are associated with the home. These become a source of goodness, blessing, and virtue for a person’s household. The members of one’s family, seeing him, also perform and learn the prayer. Due to the descent of Allah’s mercy and His angels, Satan and his progeny flee from that place.
