Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) as saying: A bulky person would be brought on the Day of Judgment and he would not carry the weight to the eye of Allah equal even to that of a gnat. Nor shall We set up a balance for them on the Day of Resurrection" (xviii. 105).

Hadith Commentary:
What will be weighed in the Balance (Mizan) on the Day of Resurrection? There is a difference of opinion among the scholars regarding this matter.
➊ Some scholars say that on the Day of Resurrection, the deeds (a‘maal) themselves will be weighed.
➋ Some say that the records (sahifah, pl. suhuf) of deeds will be weighed.
➌ While others say that the persons themselves will be weighed.
Evidence for each opinion is found in the hadiths, the details of which we will explain in the Book of Tawhid. However, there are two categories of people for whom the weighing will not be arranged:
➊ Among the believers, those fortunate seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without reckoning.
➋ Those disbelievers (kuffar) in whose record of deeds there will be no good deed.
Their deeds will also not be weighed.
Apart from these, the deeds, the records of deeds, and the doers themselves will be weighed for other people.
And Allah knows best.
