Benefits and Issues:
➊ If someone attains well-being from illness and hardship, and ample provision in this world, it is as if he has attained all the blessings of this world. And if, in the Hereafter, his sins are forgiven, it is as if he has attained all the blessings of the Hereafter. Mercy is such a thing upon which all the blessings of this world and the Hereafter depend. In this regard, this is an extremely comprehensive supplication.
➋ By indicating (with a gesture), a matter is better understood and firmly established in the mind.
