Hadith 2592

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَي بْنُ يَحْيَي ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ حُرِمَ الرِّفْقَ حُرِمَ الْخَيْرَ ، أَوْ مَنْ يُحْرَمْ الرِّفْقَ يُحْرَمْ الْخَيْرَ " .
Jarir bin 'Abdullah reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: He who is deprived of tenderly feelings is in fact deprived of good and he who is deprived of tenderly feelings is in fact deprived of good.

Benefits and Issues:
A person with a harsh temperament cannot attain the love of people, due to which he is deprived of many worldly benefits.
And a person with bad character is not liked by Allah either, thus he is also deprived of the benefits of the Hereafter.
