Hadith Commentary:
Benefits and Issues:
When a person is present in the mosque, he should not leave the congregation without necessity or excuse. However, if someone has to lead a congregation elsewhere, or if there is no water in the mosque and there is a need to relieve oneself, or if he intends to return after performing ablution (wudu), then he may leave the mosque.
