Explanation & Benefits

Hadith Commentary: Benefits and Issues: Abu Tufayl ‘Amir ibn Wathilah radi Allahu anhu was the last of the Companions to pass away. However, there is a difference of opinion regarding the year of his death: 102 AH, 107 AH, 110 AH—various views exist. But his statement in 10 AH that “a hundred years from now, none of those present at this time will remain alive” necessitates that the last opinion is correct.
