This hadith is listed as number 5963 in Maktaba Shamila

Jabir reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: The similitude of mine and that of the Apostles is like that of a person who built a house and he completed it and made it perfect but for the space of a brick. People entered therein and they were surprised at it and said: Had there been a brick (it would have been complete in all respects). Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: I am that place where the brick (completing the building is to be placed), and I have come to finalise the chain of Apostles.

My prophethood has filled this gap and completed the edifice of prophethood.
Now, after me, no prophet will come.

Hadith Commentary:
Imam Bukhari rahimahullah, with the aforementioned chapter heading, has alluded to a noble verse:

“Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).” ( and Fath al-Bari: 6/683)

The meaning of the last sentence of the hadith is that if the place for the brick had not been empty, the building would have been complete.

In the next narration it is stated:

“I am that brick, because through me the series of prophethood has been completed.”

From this hadith it becomes clear that the claim of the Qadianis that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad is also a prophet is nothing but deception and fraud, because after the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, the continuation of prophethood is no longer possible, nor is it permissible to propose any other prophet after him.

Explanation:
1:
That is, despite making the house beautiful and complete, one brick's place was intentionally left vacant. People, upon seeing it, began to say: "If only this empty spot had been filled, the beauty of the house would have been perfected." In another narration of this hadith, the following words appear: "So I am that (final) brick; by placing it in the empty spot, the edifice of prophethood was completed." The beautiful house refers to the religion of Hanif, which is endowed with prophethood and messengership.
