It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari who said: A man came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: My riding beast has been killed, so give me some animal to ride upon. He (the Holy Prophet) said: I have none with me. A man said: Messenger of Allah, I can guide him to one who will provide him with a riding beast. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: One who guides to something good has a reward similar to that of its doer.

Vocabulary of the Hadith:
Abda‘a bi:
My mount has perished.
Benefits and Issues:
It is established from this hadith that:
➊ Encouraging someone towards a good deed,
➋ Teaching religious knowledge,
➌ Explaining the method of acts of worship,
all bring as much reward as the person who actually performs that good deed receives. Therefore, one should strive to attain reward by guiding others towards good and righteous actions.

[تحفة الاشراف 329/7]
Benefits:
➊ Whoever guides someone to a good deed receives a reward equal to that of the one who performs it. Jarir bin Abdullah radi Allahu anhu is the narrator that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: Whoever introduces a good practice in Islam (which is established from the Book and Sunnah), for him is its reward and the reward of all those who act upon it after him, without their rewards being diminished in the least. [مسلم 1017]
➋ Whether one directly informs about a good deed, or sends someone to a place where he can receive guidance, or indicates it by gesture, or by speech, or through writing and authorship—all are included in this virtue. This includes preachers, teachers, authors, those who send students to madrasahs, and foremost among them are the mujahideen of Islam, through whom countless people have attained the blessing of Islam. The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to Ali radi Allahu anhu that if Allah guides a single person through you, it is better for you than red camels. [مسلم /2406]
That is why the status attained by the Companions radi Allahu anhum is not attained by those who come after, because the good deeds of the latter are also included in the record of the Companions due to their conveying the religion.
