باب إِخْرَاجِ الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى مِنْ جَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ:Chapter: Expulsion of Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula
وحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَقُولُ : أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " لَأُخْرِجَنَّ الْيَهُودَ ، وَالنَّصَارَى مِنْ جَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ حَتَّى لَا أَدَعَ إِلَّا مُسْلِمًا " ،
It has been narrated by 'Umar bin al-Khattib that he heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula and will not leave any but Muslim.

The Arabian Peninsula is that region which is surrounded by the Indian Ocean, the Red Sea, the Syrian Sea, and the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, or, in terms of length, the area from between Aden and Abyan up to the outskirts of Syria, and in terms of width, the area from Jeddah up to the outskirts of the inhabited regions of Iraq. From this hadith, it is understood that the desire of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was to expel the disbelievers and the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula. This could not be fully implemented during his lifetime, but Umar radi Allahu anhu, during his caliphate, fulfilled this wish of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that there should not remain two religions in Arabia, and he exiled the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula.
