Hadith Commentary:
Benefits and Issues:
In this hadith, the harm that is described as contrary to Islam refers to that suffering which is inflicted without any valid reason or rational, legal, or ethical cause. Otherwise, provided one has the ability and power, it is the duty of Muslims to punish criminals, to repel the excesses of oppressors, to counter the mischief of troublemakers and the corruption of corrupters with force, or at the very least, to forbid them verbally. If this is not done, the world will be deprived of peace and comfort and will become a hellish place, just as the world has indeed become a hellish place nowadays.
