Hadith 359

وحَدَّثَنَاه أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ ابْنِ حَلْحَلَةَ وَفِيهِ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، شَهِدَ ذَلِكَ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَقَالَ : صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَقُلْ بِالنَّاسِ .
This hadith is narrated by Muhammad b. 'Amr b. Ata' with these words: I was with Ibn 'Abbas, and Ibn 'Abbas saw the Messenger of Allah (صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) doing like this, and it is also said that the words are: He (the Holy Prophet) offered prayer; and the word" people" is not mentioned.
