Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: The Last Hour would not come unless you fight with people whose faces are like hammered shields and the Last Hour would not come until you would fight against those wearing the shoes of hair.

Vocabulary of the Hadith:

Mijan,
is the plural of mijan (shield).
(2)
Mitriqah:
Those upon whom leather has been placed,
meaning their faces will be round and full.
(3)
Ni‘aluhum ash-sha‘r,
their shoes will be made from ropes of hair.
Benefits and Issues:
The nation mentioned in the hadith
refers to the Turks,
with whom battles took place during their time of disbelief.
They used to wear shoes and clothing made of hair, and another group,
the companions of Babak Khurrami, also wore shoes made of hair.
He appeared in 201 AH and was killed in 222 AH.
