Haritha bin Wahb reported that he heard Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: May I not inform you about the inmates of Paradise? They said: Do this, of course. Thereupon Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) said: Every humble person who is considered to be humble if he were to adjure In the name of Allah, He would fulfil it. He then said: May I not inform you about the denizens of Hell-Fire? They said: Yes. And he said: Every haughty, fat and proud (person).

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Abdul Aziz Alvi
Hadith Commentary:
Vocabulary of the Hadith:
(1)
‘Utul:
One who eats excessively,
harsh-tempered,
ill-natured,
rebellious,
abusive sinner,
quarrelsome.
(2)
Jawwaz:
One who walks arrogantly,
proud,
rude,
rough,
gluttonous,
heavyset.

Benefits and Issues:
The majority in Paradise will be those
who are weak,
have little means,
are humble and unknown,
people consider them lowly and insignificant,
but with Allah their rank and status will be very high.
Because of this, if they, trusting in Allah’s grace,
swear an oath upon something, Allah will fulfill their oath,
or if they ask for something and say,
“By Allah, it will be so,” then Allah will accept their supplication.
