Abu Sa'id reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Death would be brought on the Day of Resurrection. in the form of a white-coloured ram. Abu Kuraib made this addition: Then it would be made to stand between the Paradise and the Hell. So far as the rest of the hadith is concerned there is perfect agreement (between the two narrators) and it would be said to the inmates of Paradise: Do you recognise this? They would raise up their necks and look towards it and say: Yes, ' it is death. Then it would be said to the inmates of Hell-Fire.. Do you recognise this? And they would raise up their necks and look and say: Yes, it is death. Then command would be given for slaughtering that and then it would be said: O inmates of Paradise,, there is an everlasting life for you and no death. And then (addressing) to the inmates of the Hell-Fire, it would be said: O inmates of Hell-Fire, there is an everlasting living for you and no death. Allah's Messenger (may peace be u@on him) then recited this verse pointing with his hand to this (material) world:" Warn them, this Day of dismay, and when their affairs would be decided and they would be un- mindful and they believe not" (xix. 39).
Abu Sa'id reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: When the inmates of Paradise would be admitted to Paradise and the inmates of Hell would be admitted to Hell, it would be said (to the inmates of Paradise): O inmates of Paradise. The rest of the hadith is the same but with this variation (that he only) said. That is the word of Allah, the Exalted. And he did not say: Then Allah's Mes- senger (ﷺ) recited, and he did not make a mention of his having pointed with his hand towards the (material) world.

Hadith Commentary:
Benefits and Issues:
➊ Death is also a creation.
Allah has said:
"He who created death and life to test you as to which of you is best in deed." (: Surah Al-Mulk: 2)
➋ On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will bring death in the form of a ram, and this is not beyond Allah’s power.
➌ Nothing impossible or absurd results from this.
➍ It is not correct to interpret this away by saying that the transformation of realities is impossible.
➎ To compare the Hereafter to the world, or to confine Allah’s power within the human framework, is in fact the source and fountainhead of misguidance.

Hadith Commentary:
1.
In one narration, it is stated that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said:
“Death will be brought and made to stand on the Bridge (Sirat), then the people of Paradise will be called, and they will look on in fear, thinking that perhaps they will be taken out of Paradise. Then the people of Hell will be called, and they will look up with joy, raising their necks in hope that they will be taken out of Hell. Then it will be said to all of them, ‘Do you recognize this?’ They will all say, ‘Yes, we recognize it.’ Then it will be ordered that it be slaughtered, so it will be slaughtered on the Bridge (Sirat). Then it will be said to both groups, ‘You will remain where you are forever. There will be no more death.’” (Sunan Ibn Majah, Kitab az-Zuhd, Hadith 4327)
In another narration, it is stated that it will be slaughtered on a wall between Paradise and Hell. (Jami‘ at-Tirmidhi, Sifat al-Jannah, Hadith: 2557)
2.
The purpose is that death will be slaughtered in order to double the happiness of the people of Paradise and to increase the distress of the people of Hell. Thus, the wording of the hadith narrated from Ibn ‘Umar (radi Allahu anhuma) is as follows:
“Death will be slaughtered so that the happiness of the people of Paradise may increase and the regret and sorrow of the people of Hell may intensify.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, Kitab ar-Riqaq, Hadith: 6548)
3.
From these ahadith, it is also understood that the disbelievers and polytheists will remain in Hell forever; death will not come to them, nor will they have a life of comfort and ease, as the statement of Allah, the Exalted, says:
“And those who disbelieve, for them is the fire of Hell; neither will it be decreed for them that they should die, nor shall its torment be lightened for them.” ()
It should be noted that this announcement will be made when those who are saved due to intercession have already entered Paradise, and only those will remain in Hell for whom it has been decreed to remain there forever. They will even try to escape from there, but the angels appointed by Allah will not let them leave, and they will subject them to new forms of physical punishment and mental torment.
May Allah protect us from it.
