Hadith 2636

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ طَلْقِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ النَّخَعِيِّ أَبِي غِيَاثٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِابْنٍ لَهَا ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّهُ يَشْتَكِي ، وَإِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْهِ قَدْ دَفَنْتُ ثَلَاثَةً ، قَالَ : لَقَدِ احْتَظَرْتِ بِحِظَارٍ شَدِيدٍ مِنَ النَّارِ " ، قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ : عَنْ طَلْقٍ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ الْكُنْيَةَ .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that a woman came to Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) with her child and said: Allah's Messenger, he is ailing, and I am afraid (that he may die), as I have already buried three. Thereupon he said: It (their sad demise) would be a protection against Hell-Fire for you. Zuhair has not mentioned the kunya of Abu Ghiyath; he has mentioned his name.
