باب النَّهْيِ عَنْ لَعْنِ الدَّوَابِّ وَغَيْرِهَا:Chapter: The Prohibition Of Cursing Animals Etc.
Hadith 2597
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَيْلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ بِلَالٍ ، عَنْ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَا يَنْبَغِي لِصِدِّيقٍ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَعَّانًا " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: It does not seem proper for Siddiq that he should be an invoker of curse.

حَدَّثَنِيهِ أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهُ .
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Abu Kuraib with the same chain of transmitters.

Hadith Commentary: Benefits and Issues: Siddiq,
that is, it is not appropriate for a believer to send curses upon others or to supplicate for them to be distanced from Allah’s mercy,
because believers are brothers to one another, and they like for their brother what they like for themselves, and they are compassionate and sympathetic towards each other.
