Jubair bin Mut'im reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: The severer would not enter Paradise. Ibn 'Umar (RA) said that Sufyan (explained it as): One who severs the tie of kinship would not enter Paradise.

Hadith Commentary: Benefits and Issues: From this hadith, it is understood that severing ties of kinship (qat‘ al-rahm) is such a heinous and grave sin that no one will be able to enter Paradise with the filth of this sin. However, when Allah punishes him and thereby purifies him, or if, due to his other great good deeds, he is forgiven, then he will be able to enter.
