Hadith 2469

حَدَّثَنَاه مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَالِمُ بْنُ نُوحٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّ أُكَيْدِرَ دُومَةِ الْجَنْدَلِ أَهْدَى لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُلَّةً ، فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ ، وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنِ الْحَرِيرِ .
Anas reported the king of Dumat al-Jandal presented to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) the garment and lie made no mention (of the fact) that he prohibited the use of silk.
