Hadith 2456

وحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ السَّرِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ فَسَمِعْتُ خَشْفَةً ، فَقُلْتُ : مَنْ هَذَا ؟ قَالُوا : هَذِهِ الْغُمَيْصَاءُ بِنْتُ مِلْحَانَ أُمُّ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ " .
Anas reported that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) said: I entered Paradise and heard the noise of steps. I said: Who is it? They said: She is Ghumaisa, daughter of Milhan, the mother of Anas bin Malik (RA).

Ghamas and ramas refer to the discharge (rheum) of the eyes. Since there would be discharge in their eyes, they were called by the names Ghamisa and Ramisa, and their sister Umm Haram was called Ramisa.
