Shaykh Maulana Abdul Aziz Alvi
Hadith Commentary: Benefits and Issues: The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was a Prophet, and Abu Bakr (radi Allahu anhu) was a martyr, and regarding the rest of the companions, he (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) foretold their martyrdom.
In the following narration, Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas (radi Allahu anhu) is also counted among the martyrs,
because he too is among those
regarding whom the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) bore witness to their entry into Paradise.
