Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Five prayers and from one Friday prayer to (the next) Friday prayer is an expiation (of the sins committed in between their intervals) if major sins are not committed.

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: Verily the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Five (daily) prayers and from one Friday prayer to the (next) Friday prayer, and from Ramadhan to Ramadhan are expiations for the (sins) committed in between (their intervals) provided one shuns the major sins.

Mā lam tughsha: The original meaning of "ghishyan" is "to come to someone." It is said: "ghashiya fulānan" — "he came to so-and-so." Here, the intended meaning is the committing of sins, which is later described as "ijtināb al-kabā'ir," that is, refraining from major sins.

´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “From one Friday to the next is an expiation for whatever was committed in between, so long as one does not commit any major sin.”

Benefit:
➊ Minor sins are forgiven due to the blessing of good deeds.
➋ Major sins are forgiven only through repentance (tawbah).
➌ There are some major sins such that, in their presence, minor sins are not forgiven even if good deeds are performed.
