Hadith 2096

حَدَّثَنِي سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَعْيَنَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْقِلٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ فِي غَزْوَةٍ غَزَوْنَاهَا : " اسْتَكْثِرُوا مِنَ النِّعَالِ ، فَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَا يَزَالُ رَاكِبًا مَا انْتَعَلَ " .
Jabir reported: I heard Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) saying during an expedition in which we also participated: Make a general practice of wearing sandals, for a man is riding as it were when he wears sandals.
